Hello and welcome! I’m Tracy Svendsen - an interior designer with 30 years of experience and the editor for Canadian Log Homes and Buyer Select Decorating Ideas. My goal is to connect readers to the latest and most beautiful trends in home decorating Ideas.

Growing up in the country, I’ve always been interested in rustic and farmhouse interiors, gardening and landscape design. I started studying interior design at Montana State University and received my design degree from Ryerson University. I worked on projects ranging from traditional to contemporary, Scandinavian, French Country, coastal and eclectic.

I later became a partner in a handcrafted log home company offering design services to our clientele for over 20 years. Although I now live in a charming residential community by the ocean, my home still reflects my love for the modern rustic approach to design.
