Modern Mountain Home Tour

This modern mountain home, designed by Studio McGee, is warm, luxe and inviting. Located just outside of Park City, the garage opens up to snowmobile trails, plenty of wildlife and wide open space. The exterior is a mix of reclaimed Trestlewood, stone, steel and copper.

Syd and Shea McGee launched their design firm in 2014 and it has quickly grown to become one of the most well-known design studios in the nation. With a team of 30 and clients across the country, their work has been featured by Architectural Digest, Domino, Vogue Living, and House Beautiful to name a few.

Modern Mountain Home: Living Room

The great room consists of a huge open space that’s perfect for large family gatherings. The floors are rift sawn white oak with a custom stain and the walls are Benjamin Moore “Simply White.”  The two cowhide chairs steal the scene. Similar chairs can be purchased here: Curator Cowhide Chairs

Modern Mountain Home: Kitchen & Dining Room

This stunning kitchen has a custom designed hood, Cherner Counter Stools, Natural Brass Hardware, Brass Sconces and Pendant Lights. The Runner is vintage and counters are a pure white quartz.

Modern Mountain Home: Master Bedroom

This modern mountain home has a U-shape design that provides for two long wings on either side of the great room. This allows for so many windows and a lot of natural light. The master bedroom is neutral and full of great texture. The main statement pieces in the room are the concrete fireplace, Eames lounger and large linen headboard. Other items include Olson table lamps, large scale rug and Hudson dresser.
