One can easily create inspiring design through the use of beautiful textiles that engage the senses.  I have compiled an exquisite collection of luxurious wall coverings and fabrics from some of my favorite brands.

Since 1889, F. Schumacher & Co. has brought its commitment to superb quality and superior design to interiors where only the finest products will suffice, including the White House, the Chambers of the United States Supreme Court and countless distinguished residences. A fifth generation, family-owned company, F. Schumacher & Co. is proud to be the only supplier of decorative textiles from the 19th century still privately owned and managed by direct descendants of the founder.

Kravet Couture Nomad Chic

Kravet Nomad Chic

The nomadic culture of the Far East has inspired the latest collection of fabrics from Kravet Couture. Called Nomad Chic, the collection references the heavy horse blankets, saddle bags and flatweave carpets that accompany these travelers on their journeys. Turkey in particular was a major source of inspiration for the collection. Carpet shops selling kilims, saddle bags used to transport goods far distances through the desert, and floor cushions used for social gatherings all influenced texture and pattern for Nomad Chic.

Heavy duty wovens feature antiqued, hand vegetable dyed coloring and luxe accents such as leather woven through the fabric. The slightly dry, faded look of the individual fabrics suggests authenticity and comfort, and would be at home in a ski lodge, a Southwestern ranch, and everywhere in between. Ethnic patterns, luxurious details and authentic coloring allow these unique and durable upholstery fabrics to incorporate seamlessly.

Jonathan Adler for Kravet

Jonathan Adler for Kravet

Renowned designer and tastemaker Jonathan Adler is bringing style, craft and joy to an exclusive collection of fabrics for Kravet now available in showrooms across the country. The collection reflects Adler’s colorful approach to design with linen and velvet featuring bright colors, modernist forms, bold graphic patterns and embroidery. Geometric, abstract and contemporary linear patterns, in a range of both vivid colors and neutrals, embody the essence of optimism, which is the core of Adler’s philosophy.

Adler started his career as a potter and launched his first ceramic collection in 1993. While remaining committed to ceramic design, Jonathan Adler has now grown far beyond the potter’s wheel to become an internationally recognized design and lifestyle brand.

Energetic, upbeat and a tad trippy, Adler’s latest venture adds the perfect pop to any modern design. The collection can be found in Kravet showrooms across the nation. Jonathan Adler stores nationwide will also carry a select assortment of furniture in an edited range of the fabrics. For more information visit www.kravet.com.
